[News] Raspberry Pi SD Card Imager ( Imager )

라즈베리 파이 재단에서 SD Card Imager 프로그램을 새로 내놨습니다. 

img 파일을 SD 카드에 write하는 프로그램. (예전에는 Win32 Disk Imager나 Balena Etcher를 사용했었음.)

기존의 Balena Etcher 보다 훨씬 가볍고 기능도 많은 듯. (라즈비안 & LibreELEC 등 이미지 따로 다운 받지 않고 바로 선택, SD 포맷 기능, 커스텀 이미지 Writing)

전에 라즈비안 이미지 받던 곳에서, 이제는 imager 프로그램으로 제공하네요.(Windows, Mac, Ubuntu지원)

Installing operating system images (setting)

• Download the latest version of Raspberry Pi Imager and install it.
• Connect an SD card reader with the SD card inside.
• Open Raspberry Pi Imager and choose the required OS from the list presented.
• Choose the SD card you wish to write your image to.
• Review your selections and click 'WRITE' to begin writing data to the SD card.

# 느낀점

기존에 사용하기위해서는 이미지파일을 따로 받은 후 SD 카드에서 write하는 'Balena Etcher'라는 무거운 프로그램을 사용했다. 반면에 raspberry에서 내놓은 프로그램은 매우 가볍고 이미지 파일을 미리 다운받을 필요가 없다고 하기에 사용해봤는데, 매우 편리했다. 'Imager'이라는 프로그램만 다운받으면 '라즈비안' or 'LibreELEC' 중에 선택하거나 미리 다운받아놓은 이미지파일을 SD카드에 구울수도 있으며, 프로그램 자체도 매우 가벼웠다.

But “Verifying write failed. Contents of SD card is different then what was written to it.”

위 Error는 아무리 다양한 format 방법(단순 포맷, SD Card Formatter, cmd,,,)을 시도해도 Imager로 이미지 파일을 읽고 처리한 후 위와같은 문구가;; 결국은 기존 Balena Etcher를 사용했더니 잘 됬다는,,, 아직 초기버전이여서 그런 것이라고 믿겠다!
