[Linux] Fusuma 터치패드 및 트랙패드 활용하기(feat. Mac 터치패드)

Ubuntu에서 터치패드를 Mac처럼 활용하기 위한 툴인 Fusuma의 기본 설정에 대해 정리하였으니 참고하시기 바랍니다.

1. Fusuma 환경 설정

1) 터치패드 장치를 읽기 위한 권한 설정

중요: Fusuma 를 통해 touchpad 입력을 받으려면 반드시 INPUT 그룹의 멤버여야 합니다.

$ sudo gpasswd -a $USER input

이제 해당 사항을 적용 시키기 위해서는 logout을 하거나 재부팅을 한번 해주세요.

$ newgrp input

2) Fusuma 설치 및 실행

Fusuma를 사용하기 위한 패키지를 설치합니다.

$ sudo apt install libinput-tools ruby xdotool -y
$ sudo gem install fusuma

Fusuma를 실행합니다.

$ fusuma
WARN -- : config file: /home/sjchoi/.config/fusuma/config.yml is NOT FOUND
...

config file이 발견되지 않았다고 나옵니다. 설정 파일을 만들어 주어야 겠네요.

$ mkdir -p ~/.config/fusuma     
$ vi ~/.config/fusuma/config.yml

2. 터치패드 설정하기 (feat. Mac 터치패드 설정)

Feature

각 기능에 대해 설명하며 command: 프로퍼티를 통해 터치패드로 하는 기능(Key Command)을 명시합니다. 여기서 command: 프로퍼티가 비어 있으면, swipe나 pinch는 어떤 커맨드도 수행하지 않습니다. 

손가락 3개로 드래그해서 창 움직이기 (Fusuma 버전 2 이상)

Threshold 와 Interval

• threshold:  swipe나 pinch의 민감도를 의미합니다. 기본값은 1로, 만약 swipe의 thradhold가 0.5라면 반응을 시작하는 swipe의 길이가 절반으로 짧아지는 것을 의미합니다.
• interval: wsipe와 pinch 사이의 딜레이를 의미합니다. 기본 값은 역시 1 입니다. 만약 swipe의 interval이 0.5라면 다음 swipe를 인식할 때까지의 인터벌이 절반으로 짧아집니다.
• swipe: 개인적으로 1은 너무 길다고 느껴져서 확실히 줄여야 할 필요가 있었습니다. 
• pinch: pinch의 인터벌도 줄이지 않으면 정말 답답합니다.

Fusuma 설정 적용(~/.config/fusuma/config.yml)

기본적으로 ~/.config/fusuma/config.yml 파일을 설정한 이후 fusuma를 실행해야 해당 설정이 적용되며, 실행되어 있는 한에서 트랙패드로 해당 설정을 사용할 수 있습니다. 여기서 fusuma 커멘드를 이용하면 실행시킬 수 있으며 -d 옵션을 주어 데몬으로 실행가능합니다.

$ fusuma -d

이때 터치패드를 사용하기 위해서는 매번 log-in 혹은 전원을 키고 fusuma를 켜주는 작업이 필요합니다. 따라서 gnome-session-properties를 이용해서 자동으로 실행시켜놓는 것이 필요합니다.

3. 자동실행 (gnome-session-properties)

fusuma 실행파일 위치 확인

$ which fusuma
/usr/local/bin/fusuma

gnome-session-properties 실행

다음의 커멘드를 입력하여 실행한 후 Add 를 클릭하여 fusuma를 추가해줍니다. 마지막에 -d를 추가해준다면 자동으로 데몬으로 실행되는 것을 확인할 수 있습니다.

$ gnome-session-properties
