# Problem
I'm trying to boot Ubuntu via a USB stick (dual boot with windows) , and the following error is being displayed
file casper/vmlinuz not found
you need to load the kernel first
# Solution
When you create a boot disk, you usually boot it using Rufus, but you shouldn't use Rufus.
The boot disk was created using the Universal USB Installer (UUI) and installed normally.
